First quarter figures are in showing C&D holding a 10% reduction from this time last year. That means a 20% reduction from 2006!

Even with our conservation efforts, our equipment has released 704 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. While CO2 can persist in the atmosphere for 100 years, it's hard to imagine what you can't see. Instead, imagine 128 Adult Male Elephants or if you are so inclined, 2816 Adult Male Donkeys.

Cagwin & Dorward will continue to reduce the carbon footprint from our business practices and support environmental organizations to further offset the impact.

The chart below reflects our vehicular and power equipment fuel bills measured in actual gallons of fuel consumed.

Tips:

1. Plan vehicle trips efficiently - never visit the same area twice, reduced or eliminate unnecessary trips
2. Eliminate wasteful driving habits - no quick starts and stops, drive within the speed limit
3. Do not allow equipment to idle
