GO! - 10% Reduction Suggestion - Shop

In The Shop: I thought everyone might be interested in a new habit that is being created in the Novato Shop.

In the past, when we needed something from the Local Auto Parts store, we would call them and they would happily deliver whatever we ordered as many times a day as we would call.

They provide great customer service, but I started thinking.....

What if we had a board with the vendor's name on it where we could write things down that we needed? We could increase the size of our orders and decrease the vendors CO2 footprint at the same time.

I kept thinking.....

In consolidating the orders there would be:

• less invoices, therefore less paper being used
• less time with the lights on in the office while I had to approve the tags
• less time for processing the tags at Corp....

We didn't even have to buy a new board, it was hanging on a wall waiting to be used.

This thought will be shared with other Yards.
