eNatural Gas & Propane - Therms
The results are in for Year #2 of our 10% Energy Reduction Goal. And while the chill outside prompted more natural gas use for heating, overall, we still succeeded in using only 85% of the gas therms we used in 2007! Therefore, not only did we succeed in reaching our 10% Energy Reduction Goal, but we surpassed it by an additional 5%!
Considering the bigger picture, our efforts in the last two years allowed us to reduce Company Therm use by 39%!! Wow! Pat yourselves on the back and jump for joy (it'll keep you warm).
Keep up with your miserly ways so we can continue to have such climate comforts long into the future.
The chart below reflects our year to date natural gas and propane energy consumption.Tips:
- Reduce your thermostat to 65 degrees in the winter and 72 degrees in the summer.
- Use outside ambient temperatures to warm or cool your office space.
- Close all windows and doors when energy is being consumed to either heat or cool your building.
- Outfit yourself with layered clothing. Too cold... cover up. Too warm... take a layer (or two) off.
