During the Season of Giving, Cagwin & Dorward makes a donation to Trees for the Future for the planting of 100,000 trees. While we work towards renewing eco-systems and improving air quality, we help needy communities, across the planet, reforest their depleted land. As a result, these people are given the means and support to become self-sustainable.

In recent years, our annual landscape business operations have averaged 250,000 gallons of fuel use. For each gallon of gasoline, 20 lbs. of carbon dioxide (CO2) is released into the atmosphere. CO2 can remain in the atmosphere for a hundred years. Our company operations generate an average annual output of 5 million pounds of CO2.

A solution: one mature tree can capture 50 pounds of CO2 in a year. Therefore, we will need to plant 100,000 trees to sequester the carbon our vehicles and equipment produce annually.

In addition to tree planting, we've made significant improvements in our energy use at our facilities and in our daily practices. We will continue to support environmental organizations in the future as we strive to reduce our impact on the environment while improving our communities.
