On November 14th, 2006, the Administration staff met in two groups with Greening Consultant, Emily Ryan, to review how we can extend our conservation efforts in the company's office buildings.

The groups submitted ideas to work on from reducing the use of office paper products to saving on heating and cooling our buildings.

The table below lists all of their ideas, both for the home and the office. The list has hyperlinks added to most topics.

We are going to work on the low hanging fruit immediately. More discussions will need to occur to create plans for other items on the list. As we work on these issues, we will keep you posted on our progress.

Make the Calls - Stop Cataloges
Local food - less transport. Eat seasonal foods (not strawberries in December).
Garbage or recyclables. Recycle Bins
Buy 100% Post Consumer/Alt. Fiber paper products.	Carpool.	Manage Room temperatures - adjust clothing for temperature.	Don't use plastic water bottles.
Call or email Retailers to get rid of catalogues.	Purchase a well-working air filter for confined spaces	Replace incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient ones.	Replace old in-efficient heating & cooling systems and appliances. (Energy Star)
Bring your own cup, plate, napkin and utensils.			Displace water in toilet tank by using a brick-reduces amount of water used to flush.
Buy Local Food.
Eat Seasonally.
Buy in bulk.
Be persistent to change old consumer habits.
