(the GO Team) mustered themselves against the cold and threat of rain to volunteer for a creek restoration event in Sonoma County. The Sonoma Ecology Center coordinates such events throughout the County as part of their Sonoma Valley Watershed Council Creek Restoration Program. The Program's goal is to protect and enhance the Sonoma watershed's riparian ecosystems with the following activities: |

Our volunteers convened at 9:30 a.m., with the Ecology Center's Team at Rancho De Sonoma. They received materials and instruction to plant native trees and shrubs along Sonoma Creek.
"It was a beautiful morning, and the rain stayed away long enough to let us get our planting done. We covered the

Thanks to these volunteers eco-endeavors, the Sonoma Creek and it's watershed become a more healthy and vibrant ecosystem, while reducing erosion and silt buildup along the way, into the Bay.
