Equity Office knew they were doing the right thing by renovating their inefficient turf areas into a more sustainable landscape. The Bay Friendly landscape techniques that Cagwin & Dorward utilized, both nurtured the soil and reduced stress on the surrounding natural systems.
To Equity's delight, the resulting explosion of color that emerged the following spring, captured the attention of both local tenants and the surrounding community.

What was once an tired and wasteful turf area, became a lush, wildflower meadow, visible from the freeway as well as the outlying neighborhoods.

The wildflower transformation was enjoyed by both the office park's tenants and the local community.

With access from the public pathway, people flocked to the site with cameras in hand. Both Easter and Mother's Day saw quite a turnout for family photos.

The wildflower meadow meandered into the business park's center. Wouldn't you rather eat lunch outside today?

Even with it's proximity to the freeway, the office park felt "miles away", with the natural setting of it's common areas.
