Plastics of all shapes and sizes are finding their way down our city street drains and into the ocean. In the ocean, plastics are drawn into |
Plastic is not bio-degradable; it can only break down in form. As the plastic becomes smaller and smaller, it becomes more attractive to more varieties of marine life, mistaking it for food. As this happens, it affects life all the way up the food chain, even us. Midway Island studies conclude that most of the Albatross nesting there, now have ingested plastic bottle caps.
