Cagwin & Dorward's Administration sponsors a local charity for their Year End Holiday Gift Giving/Donation Drive. In 2009, Admin. invited both the Marin and Sonoma Yards, along with Stillwater participants, to join in this season of sharing.

With $1,200.00 in funds collected, Lynda Casillas and Shannon Barlow coordinated Admin's. gift giving efforts and were able to contribute to two charities in the North Bay. Ritter Center, San Rafael & Love In A Shoe Box, Cotati received every day essentials and children's toys to meet the needs of the disadvantaged families and homeless individuals in their care.

As a company, Cagwin & Dorward continued its mission to ". . . enhance it's community and the environment" with its annual contribution to reforest 100,000 trees in rural communities, through Trees For The Future. C&D also donated funds to support Project Kaisei, an organization devoted to education and developing solutions to the plastic concentration affecting the North Pacific Gyre ecosystem.

Closer to home, C&D helped fund Tree of Lights in Blackhawk in support of Hospice Foundation of the East Bay. They provide pain control and symptom management, as well as emotional, spiritual, and bereavement support for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses.

Cagwin & Dorward has been fortunate enough to be less effected by the economic down turn that many businesses are experiencing. C&D will continue to share what we can with those less fortunate.
