Cagwin & Dorward recognizes it's relationships with customers and the community reaches beyond a beautiful landscape.

In support of a customer diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Cagwin & Dorward sponsored a team to take part in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

The 5K race/walk took place on Sunday morning, September 21st, in San Francisco. It started (and finished) at the Embarcadero's Ferry Building (course map), followed by a post race celebration and awards ceremony at Justin Hermin Plaza (race day details).

A team of 10 representing C&D, enjoyed a cool, overcast morning with thousands of like minded people.

Two members of our team chose to run the course.

Young, old, canine and otherwise participated in the event - cancer effects all walks of life.

Team C&D crossed the finish line in a record 1 hour, 24 minutes & 24 seconds.

"Record" for us - it's our first year participating.

Once safely across the Finish Line, everyone celebrated and then collapsed in happy exhaustion.

By event day, our group raised $1,570.00. However, contributions were accepted until November 1, 2008.
